These 7 year-old English students at IPE Academy recited the fable of ‘The Fox & the Lion’ from Nagoya Player’s Aesop Storybook for their happyokai performance. They spent a few weeks practicing everyday and when they finally got up in front the audience they delivered wonderfully.
Helping children learn English through the fables was one of our goals when designing Aesop’s Fables. We want our shows to be more than just entertainment. We want everyone, young and old, to leave the theater with new knowledge and a great experience.
Please don’t miss the show! It is a fun and interactive way to introduce children to the English-language.

“I can’t even draw a stickman”, I’ve heard many say.
I know that’s only because many approach art without the mind to play!
Doodling lines and squiggles is easy to do
So let’s play through art in this workshop that’s created just for you!
This is a space where you can never get it wrong.
Every line, shape or scratch will be the voice to your own art song.
Rising from the Aesop’s Fables that will be read,
Into the world of Abstract Doodle art will you be led.
Our first Aesop Storytime Kids Workshop was a blast! These little guys were amazing. So smart and very quick learners.
Cast member Naudia read to the children and imparted some very valuable morals upon their young minds. However, to break up all that morality she also lead the group through a series of games and challenges!
It wasn’t just playtime though, the children also did writing exercises and they got homework! Oh, what fun!
Thank you to the kids and parents for an exciting day of storytelling and learning. And big thank you to IPE アカデミー for hosting us!
